• Partner: ARSOW-Nepal (Association for Rural Social Welfare): A Nepalese NGO working in the areas of Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation, agriculture, environment and protection.


• Direct Beneficiaries: 74 (24 salariés et 50 bénévoles d'ARSOW-Népal) + 12 100 personnes dans trois villages du district de Sindhupalchok :
  • Thangpaldhap: 4,873 beneficiaries,
  • Thangpalkot: 3,226 beneficiaries
  • Gunsakot: 4,001 beneficiaries

Following the earthquakes of April 25th and May 12th, 2015, the local NGO ARSOW-Nepal conducted a program in partnership with TGH in the district of Kavrepalanchok. Concurrently, ARSOW initiated a rehabilitation and reconstruction project in three villages of the district of Sindhupalchok, particularly affected by these earthquakes: Thangpaldhap, Thangpalkot and Gunsakot.

This program, funded by the Fondation de France, provides support to the victims for reconstruction, repair of community infrastructure, health protection and strengthening of the livelihoods of affected populations.

In this specific post-emergency context, TGH supports ARSOW-Nepal in the effective implementation of this program, but TGH also wants to allow its partner to sustainably improve its administrative, financial, organizational and logistical skills. ARSOW-Nepal will thus be the first beneficiary of this action, but this capacity building program will enable our partner to better meet the needs of the populations for this program and for future projects.
