1/ Improve Social Services delivered by Local Associations for Disabled People in Myanmar
Objective: Improve the assistance provided by the Eden Center to disabled people through technical guidance and support to local development projects.
2/ Support displaced people and the hosting communities in Dala and Seikyi Khanaungdho townships by improving health, water and sanitation services, and economic conditions. Run in partnership with Première Urgence / Aide Médicale Internationale.
Located in the outskirts of Yangon, the townships of Dala and Seikyi Khanaungdho are home to some 176,600 inhabitants, living in an extremely precarious socio-economic situation. The townships can only be accessed by boat; no bridge links them to the capital. Particular environmental conditions (swamps and islands) complicate attempts at urban and economic development and favour the recrudescence of waterborne diseases.
