Due to a tumultuous social-political climate, CAR has had perpetual population movements. TGH seeks to improve the sanitary and hygiene conditions in which the IDPs but also host population live in.

In April 2021, TGH launched its project to reduce the risk of illness, epidemic and pandemic propagation along the Bambari – Lihoto route. With the financial support of the Vitol Foundation, TGH is able to promote and improve a sanitary environment for the vulnerable populations.

Focusing its effort on sanitation and hygiene, TGH is undergoing construction of latrines, waste management and implementing hand washing disposals and good daily hygiene practices in the area, where a total of 500 households live in 12 different villages.

Ensuring family sanitary security and developing the knowledge and means necessary for proper waste management, TGH enables a safer and cleaner day to day life while keeping in mind the prevention of COVID-19.
