Agency (AFD), with the aim of promoting the integration of young people into the professional world, reinforcing the quality of the teaching provided by vocational training centres, as well as fostering positive interactions between public actors, companies and these centres.

In order to respond to the identified needs, the two NGOs have divided up the areas of intervention. TGH is working in Ombella M'poko (Bangui and surrounding areas), in Lobaye (Mbaïki) and in Mambéré Kadéï (Berbérati).

Through this project, TGH and Mercy Corps propose to provide the learning centres and workshops that ensure training to young people with equipment and teaching materials so that they can deliver quality training. In addition, rehabilitation, where necessary, of these training facilities is also proposed.

For young people who have difficulties in accessing vocational training, financial support is offered via a grant. These young people also receive training in life skills, which will strengthen their integration into society and the productive sector.

To enable young people to access the labour market, the enterprise spaces are strengthened to better inform young people of the labour market’s dynamics and to be better coordinated and connected in order to integrate them. They receive non-financial support (internships, entrepreneurial training, etc.) and financial support (partnerships with microfinance institutions, bank guarantees, start-up kits, etc.) to enable them to enter the labour market. In order for this integration into the labour market to be effective, the project involves civil society organisations in the training and integration activities of young people.

In order to improve the training and professional integration of young people, activities to strengthen coordination between the State, companies and training centres are being implemented.
