FUNDING
The project is implemented in partnership with the Department of Youth and Sports of Dohuk in support tothe Domiz youth centre. TGH sets up an innovation lab in the youth centre where young people will be able to complete life skills and citizenship education trainings. They will have the opportunity to take partin digital and entrepreneurship skills development sessions to enhance their resilience and promote their employability skills as young social and business entrepreneurs. Furthermore, to leverage youth’s engagement in the labour market, they will have access to work-based learning opportunities (internship, apprenticeship, etc.) and receive seed funding, as a grant, to start their social and business start-ups.
Secondly, TGH focuses on encouraging engagement in governance structures, helping young people to become actively involved in decision-making, to identify the issues that affect their lives and their communities, and to take action to address them. In order to increase the inclusive participation of youth in the decision-making process, TGH also supports the establishment of several platforms as a space for young people to express themselves and to be encouragedthrough their initiatives.
