FUNDING
Within the framework of this intervention, the members of the consortium aim to provide specialised assistance to displaced children and children who have recently returned to their territory of origin, exposed to violence and social marginalisation, as well as to children deprived of their liberty in the governorate of Ninewa.
The project has three main components:
Legal assistance for adults and children whose civil status documents are missing, with a particular focus on complex cases.
Specialised child protection services (case management, family support services, community protection) for children at risk, including children associated with armed groups, victims of violence and exploitation, and out-of-school children.
Juvenile justice services for children deprived of their liberty in Mosul juvenile prison. Throughout the intervention, the partners will build the capacity of community members and public service providers in order to improve the quality of existing services and to facilitate the transition process. Finally, advocacy activities will be carried out at various levels to raise awareness of the rights of children in conflict with the law.
