This project addresses urgent needs for water, hygiene and sanitation, shelter and non-food items.
TGH provides the fastest and most appropriate response possible by pre-positioning emergency stocks of the most essential goods (e.g. hand pumps, emergency latrines, jerry cans, mosquito nets, etc.) and by anticipating the demand and needs of these populations.
In a second phase, the restoration of water systems, capacity building for the management and maintenance of water supply points, distribution of latrines to disabled people and awareness sessions on good hygiene practices will improve and help sustain water services for these displaced populations at risk of insecurity, malnutrition and diarrhoeal diseases.
Finally, non-food fairs will be organised during the year, and emergency shelter kits will be given to beneficiaries, who will build them themselves with the help and supervision of the TGH team.
