Under this project, TGH provides multi-sectoral assistance to conflict-affected people, displaced and non-displaced people through unconditional cash transfers, psychological support, and legal aid.
More specifically, the aim is to cover the basic needs of 2,500 people affected by the conflict, through unconditional cash assistance. This financial aid is paid into the beneficiaries' bank accounts or sent by the country's postal services. TGH adapts the transfer modalities according to the wishes of the beneficiaries, identified by local partners, on the basis of vulnerability criteria.
This assistance is complemented by a psychological support and a follow-up service for people emotionally affected by the conflict. This assistance takes the form of phone counselling with psychologists from TGH team and its local partner. Psychosocial support activities are also carried out by mobile teams made of psychologists and social workers in the Lviv region for displaced people who have taken refuge in shelters, collective and transit centers and in rural areas. Recreational activities are also offered to young children. In addition, TGH has established an informal network of community social workers to ensure access to basic services for vulnerable IDPs by providing information on available services.
In addition, legal assistance is provided to all those in need, mainly in the following sectors: documentation, registration of displaced persons, border crossing. Finally, as the project is implemented in partnership with local associations, TGH participates in the capacity building of civil society.
