A visit to education/protection and WASH activities
On June 2, TGH received a visit from Directorate-General for Civil Protection and European Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) to gain understanding of our education/protection and WASH activities in 4 localities of Rural Damascus, in a country still affected by successive that is still reeling from successive crises.
Activities to ensure access to basic services for local populations
Since 2018, TGH Syria has been working diligently to ensure access to basic services for affected populations.
Given the immense scale of deprivation, our activities in Hezzeh and Shabaa provide a safe space for young children between the ages of 6 and 17 to reconnect with a sense of normalcy they may never have experienced, while receiving tailored non-formal education and psychosocial support.
Our activities in Haran Al’Awameed and Jarba focused on providing returnees with access to water and sanitation through the rehabilitation of boreholes and sewerage networks, ensuring that these people are one step closer to rebuilding their lives, their communities and their futures.
