TGH responds to the educational, psychological and health needs of children in Syria

In Syria, TGH teams are implementing essential projects to meet the educational, psychological and health needs of the local population, particularly children, who have been particularly affected by the Syrian crisis.

After years of conflict, many children have had to drop out of school and face learning difficulties. To support them, TGH offers non-formal education activities: support classes taught by qualified teachers, providing children with a caring and motivating environment.

In addition, TGH provides psychosocial support through daily sessions, creating an environment where children can flourish. These sessions help to improve children’s well-being and overcome war-related trauma.

Finally, hygiene promotion is the third pillar of TGH’s action in Syria. In a context where sanitary conditions are deteriorating, awareness-raising sessions, accompanied by the distribution of hygiene kits, help to reinforce practices that are essential for day-to-day health.

These activities provide invaluable support to the Dar’a community, particularly the children, so that they can regain their confidence and overcome the difficulties and challenges posed by the ongoing conflict in the country.
