TGH mourns the death of one of its employees: Enaderfé Ag Hamama

Enaderfé Ag Hamama

Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) mourns the death of one of its employees, Enaderfé Ag Hamama, who was cowardly murdered in Mali a few days ago.

Enaderfé, a Malian national, was on expatriate assignment with TGH in Birao, Central African Republic, as field coordinator. He was on leave in Mali last week, when the car that was to take him to Mauritania, where he was planning to visit his mother, was attacked. Enaderfé, his wife, child and other passengers were killed in this tragic attack.

We are shocked.

Enaderfé had held various positions with international NGOs, notably French, in Mali, and had embarked on an expatriate career in Niger with PUI before joining TGH in CAR in July 2023.

Respectful, available and professional, with a great sense of responsibility, an ability to listen and adapt easily, Enaderfé was much appreciated by the TGH teams in CAR. Just before going on leave, he had received confirmation of his Master’s degree in international cooperation, testifying to his thirst for learning and his humanitarian commitment.

TGH fully associates itself with the grief of his family and colleagues in CAR. We would like to offer our condolences to his loved ones, to whom we offer our unwavering support at this time of sorrow and sadness.

We also strongly condemn this violence against civilians and call for the perpetrators of this cowardly attack to be brought to justice and sentenced.

For now, in the words of his colleagues, “Enaderfé will forever remain ‘the Sultan of Birao’, a title that suits him perfectly and symbolizes everything he stood for: a unique soul, a pillar for his team, and a precious friend”.
