TGH supports organic agriculture in Nepal

In order to revive the agroecological economy in Nepal, TGH opened 3 ressource and knowledge sharing centres.

As part of an economic recovery project for organic agriculture in Nepal, TGH opened 3 ressource and knowledge sharing centres in April. The latter were set up in the Bagmati province: municipalities of Mandandeupur, Dhulikhel in Kavre district, and Likhu Tamakoshi in Ramechhap district.

In order to revive the agroecological economy in Nepal, TGH opened 3 ressource and knowledge sharing centres.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of local authorities, TGH teams, as well as project partners Médecins du monde and Farmers For Rural Development (FRDEV).

Thanks to the support of the Agence Francaise de Développement and Fondation de France, each centre is equipped with all the equipment necessary for its proper functioning. Today, all centres are fully operational.

Junior technical assistants are available to provide technical information to help farmers develop new knowledge and learn new practices that are more environmentally friendly and healthier. In the long run, the centres aim to encourage the emergence of agricultural practices without chemical inputs and with fewer plastics.
