The resilience of farmers in rural Nepal is a key issue.

On the one hand, agricultural production and processing systems require development support. For many years, TGH teams in Nepal have been working with several networks of agricultural cooperatives to establish virtuous practices that do not involve the use of chemicals or plastics.
On the other hand, rural populations in Nepal remain highly vulnerable to seismic and climate-related risks, such as flooding.
As part of its support for rural communities in Bagmati Province, implemented in partnership with Médecins du Monde and Farmers for Rural Development, TGH recently organised the distribution of various items of equipment, with the support of Agence française de développement and Fondation de France :
- Tools and seeds to support 15 farmers in establishing model farms
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) for 80 farmers
- Emergency kits in various neighbourhoods in the municipalities of Panchpokhari, Mandandeupur and Likhutamakoshi
