Holistic care, family and socio-professional reintegration of minors

TGH has been working with street children in Bangui since 2011 and with incarcerated minors since 2019, and is a recognised player in the field of child protection. With the support of UNICEF, TGH is stepping up its emergency services for vulnerable minors and helping young people who have stabilised their situation to reintegrate into their families and society.

More specifically, the activities implemented by TGH consist of :

• identifying, accompanying, raising awareness among and referring young people to the appropriate services ;
• emergency accommodation for street children, including survivors of sexual violence and released minors awaiting reintegration into their families ;
• literacy training and school reinforcement for those who have already been to school, in order to facilitate re-education after incarceration.

This project is being carried out with the Fondation Voix Du Cœur (FVDC), a long-standing partner of TGH in the field of child protection in Bangui.
