Protection of displaced persons in eastern Ukraine

The protection of civilians in Ukraine remains a priority

As the conflict in Ukraine continues, evacuations from the frontline areas in the east are ongoing. More and more displaced people are arriving in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to seek refuge.

These evacuees are generally elderly people, people suffering from chronic illnesses, or women accompanied by children.

Faced with an increase in the number of people being taken in by transit centres, the Triangle Génération Humanitaire Ukraine team is mobilising to support these populations through various protection measures. TGH specialists provide psychological first aid and case management consultations to identify people’s specific needs. This case-by-case work enables financial assistance to be distributed to protect those most at risk, and legal aid to be offered to people in the centres.

Through its interventions, TGH aims to alleviate trauma and intense stress factors and enable populations to access adequate humanitarian aid.
