In the aim of helping the most destitute families, TGH organised an emergency distribution project to help them face the winter and the rainy season.
Some 400,000 people live in Hurriyah, one of the poorest areas of Baghdad. The families who have settled here live in the most precarious conditions: the water drainage system does not operate, there’s little access to education, the houses are in a terrible state, electricity is hard to come by, poverty is increasing…
We supplied kits containing blankets, mattresses and heating systems to 1.103 families, e.g. 6.978 people.
