In order to respond effectively and appropriately to the needs of the victims of the conflict, this project has two main focuses: firstly, an assessment of logistical capacities in Poland, where a humanitarian hub is being set up to transport emergency supplies; secondly, an assessment of the most urgent needs in Ukraine and the identification of response methods in this new context.
These assessments allow TGH to identify the real needs on the ground and to coordinate the humanitarian response in order to strengthen its impact and cover the whole population. While the focus is on displaced people in the west of the country, it is important for TGH not to forget the needs of people in the east of Ukraine. These assessments complement and reinforce the analysis and coordination efforts already carried out by the relocated team in Lviv at the beginning of the conflict.
