This project, funded by BHA (Bureau For Humanitarian Assistance) aims to contribute to the mitigation of the impact of the conflict and the protracted crisis on vulnerable populations in Ukraine. It is a project involving 5 NGOs, including TGH.

The conflict in Ukraine is evolving rapidly. Attacks on health facilities and social infrastructure are affecting all public services and leading to significant displacement of people.

As a result of this situation, the NGO consortium members, including TGH, have conducted primary and secondary data analysis and assessments in various regions of Ukraine. The assessments conducted have shown that the affected population faces difficulties in accessing essential services in terms of health care, adequate and safe water, sanitation and hygiene, as well as essential household items.

This project covers various activities in the areas of health, protection, water, sanitation and hygiene, cash distribution, protection, nutrition etc. The various activities aim to reduce mortality and morbidity by increasing access, coverage, utilisation and quality of primary health care services.

In addition, they protect and support appropriate and optimal infant and young child feeding practices through multisectoral activities. They also meet basic gender-, age- and disability-sensitive needs through unconditional cash assistance to cover immediate needs for health, household items, food security, water, sanitation, hygiene and education for those affected by the conflict.
