Devastating mudslides in the Nepal region

On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, a massive mudslide, possibly triggered by the collapse of a glacier in the Himalayas, devastated the district of Rawusa in northern Nepal. This natural disaster has caused numerous mudslides that have ravaged populated areas in Nepal and neighbouring countries to the north.

Sadly, there have been hundreds of casualties and more than 1,000 people are reported missing.

Triangle Génération Humanitaire expresses its solidarity with all those affected by this disaster. Given that Nepal is frequently exposed to natural and climate-related disasters, TGH has been involved in numerous emergency responses in the country, particularly since the two earthquakes of 2015.

Our team in Nepal is mobilised and collaborating with all our local partners to assess how they can contribute to the emergency and recovery response in support of the local communities.
