Since July 2024, the Russian army has been advancing steadily into Donetsk oblast, forcing the inhabitants of the Kramatorsk-Pokrovsk axis to leave their homes. Around 8,000 Donetsk residents were evacuated to various TGH areas of operation in Ukraine – Lviv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovska.
TGH and its local charity partner, 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, responded to ongoing evacuations in the city of Toretsk, providing emergency transit kits to Donetsk Oblast residents fleeing their homes with little or no personal belongings. These operations were made possible with the support of the Crisis and Support Center of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
TGH accompanies displaced persons from Donetsk from their transit points in Donetsk to their place of temporary or long-term settlement, providing them with multi-sectoral assistance.
