Access to justice and legal support in Ukraine

In Kharkiv, as in Zaporizhzhia, people are living under constant pressure.

The conflict has destroyed everything, leaving residents in a state of extreme vulnerability and total uncertainty in the face of the intensity of the bombardments and repeated attacks.

In this unstable daily existence, where many have lost everything, the first step towards normality is to reclaim one’s rights. For those displaced or affected by the attacks, access to clear legal information is essential to :

Gaining these points of reference is the first step in people rebuilding.

In response to this humanitarian emergency, Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) and its national partner, Posmishka, are organising awareness sessions and targeted legal consultations. Led by specialist advisers, these initiatives provide affected communities with step-by-step guidance through complex procedures, leading to concrete and immediate solutions. For example, they recently secured financial compensation for one of the people they support.

These legal actions are part of a wider, integrated response involving water, sanitation, shelter and winter aid. The aim is to strengthen the resilience of the most vulnerable people in southern and eastern Ukraine. The response is being carried out as part of a consortium with Solidarités International and Poshmishka, with the support of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).
