Programme details
Through this project, TGH is supporting the resilience of populations by providing goods and protective services to meet their basic needs. Humanitarian interventions are concentrated near the front line.
TGH and its operational partners, Angels of Salvation and We Are Brothers, cover three oblasts: Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizka. These three partners coordinate their actions with each other and with the clusters to avoid duplication and ensure complementary coverage.
As part of an integrated approach, TGH and its national partners are deploying mobile units comprising lawyers, psychologists and social workers to address the growing psychosocial risks faced by vulnerable groups. Specialising in services related to gender-based violence and child protection, these mobile units expand the coverage of psychosocial support, case management and legal aid services provided by TGH and its partners in Ukraine.
The winter of 2025-2026 is proving difficult for Ukrainians, given the offensives in northern and eastern Ukraine, as well as the destruction of virtually all of the country’s energy infrastructure. Consequently, TGH is providing vital heating sources to frontline communities and other vulnerable groups. At the same time, some homes are being repaired.
In addition, TGH provides emergency humanitarian assistance to populations that have been displaced recently, helping them to meet their immediate basic needs in the first few days after displacement. To this end, financial assistance is provided alongside protection activities. The most vulnerable groups include older people, women and children who have been unable to leave areas close to the front line for various reasons.
Another key element of the project is strengthening the capacity of TGH’s national partners in protection services, particularly case management.
