Programme details

The project aims to improve the resilience of 6,970 vulnerable people in Ukraine during the winter months by providing them with shelter, non-food items (NFIs) and protection services. The project covers several oblasts in eastern Ukraine: Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Donetsk. The activities implemented address several humanitarian needs:

  • Distribution of solid fuels for the winter
  • Financial assistance
  • Mobile psychosocial support services
  • Legal assistance
  • Case management

Particular attention is given to women, children, the elderly and people with disabilities when implementing the various actions. Led by TGH and its local partners, the intervention is one of the humanitarian priorities in frontline areas, where prolonged conflict and extreme winter conditions prevail.

The project supports internally displaced persons, returnees and members of resident communities in eastern Ukraine. The project’s activities also target individuals who have been made vulnerable by the war and its consequences, including victims of gender-based violence, unaccompanied or separated children, and households in extremely precarious situations.
