Programme details

This 12-month project has been proposed by a consortium of six NGOs (five international and one national), whose areas of expertise complement one another. The programme targets populations affected by the conflict in Sudan, with a focus on Al-Jazirah and certain areas of Khartoum where humanitarian needs are critical and returns are underway. The total project budget is €3,000,000, of which €400,000 has been allocated to activities to be carried out by TGH.

MercyCorps

Through an integrated, multi-sectoral approach, the project will deliver coordinated interventions in Health, Nutrition, WASH, Psychosocial Support, Child Protection, and Food Security and Livelihoods, tailored to address the complex and evolving crisis.

The project aims at improving access to free, quality emergency healthcare, reducing mortality and morbidity through better management of acute malnutrition and stimulation therapy, expanding access to WASH services in health facilities and displacement sites, strengthening the protective environment and access to psychosocial support for vulnerable individuals and children, and helping conflict- affected populations meet basic needs while reducing reliance on negative coping mechanisms.
